Finally, a Victory: Brits Kill Saddam Statues!

In an overpowering display of military might and strategic cunning, the Anglo American invading forces destroyed, not one, but two statues of Saddam Hussein in the Southern Iraqi city of Basra before making a daring withdrawal back to the city's outskirts.

This is how the New York Times is reporting it today: "British commando forces dashed into Basra, which is Iraq's second-largest city, and destroyed two large statues of Mr. Hussein in a strike that the British depicted as intended to reassure Basra's 1.5 million people that coalition forces are determined to topple the government in Baghdad."

Yes, now Basra's population can be reassured, unless of course they die due to Anglo American bombing, or out of hunger and thirst.
